The body fat percentage is the ratio between a person's total body fat and total mass (commonly known as weight).

This calculator uses the 3-site Jackson-Pollock skinfold method to help determine the body fat percentage more accurately.

For a woman please measure your triceps, thigh and suprailiac using a caliper.

For a man, please measure your pectoral, abdominal and thigh with a body fat caliper.

The 3-site Jackson-Pollock formula for body density is used in combination with the Siri equation to determine the body fat percentage, which can be defined as:
\(BFP\) \(=\) \(\dfrac{495}{BD}\) \(-\) \(450\)
\(BD\): Body density
\(BFP\): Body fat percentage
\(pectoral\): the skin fold measurements of the pectoral
\(thigh\): the skinfold measurement of the thigh
\(abdominal\): the skinfold measurement of the abdominal
\(age\): your age measured in years
The SI unit for BFP is: \(%\)
